HOW IT STARTED
It started with a question. Pepper is the most-used spice in the world, and we couldn't remember the last time we'd actually thought about it.
That curiosity took us to Ecuador, to a fourth-generation family farm in the Andean foothills, and to the first time we tasted pepper fresh. There was no going back.
Milly was born from that moment.
BEHIND MILLY
We're two curious people who love good ingredients with big flavors. The more we dug into pepper, the more we realized how much there was to learn. And the more we learned, the more we wanted to share it. Not as a lecture, but as an invitation.
Milly Pepper was founded by Michael Laniak and Roy Chan in Brooklyn, New York.

We exist to be the steward pepper never had. To give the most overlooked ingredient in your kitchen the same care and attention we've learned to give our coffee, our olive oil, our salt.
Better pepper doesn't ask you to change how you cook. It just makes the things you already do taste like more. A fried egg. A bowl of pasta. A steak off the grill. Small moments, big difference.
Our mission is simple: set a fresh standard for pepper, one table at a time.
DOING OUR PART
Milly Pepper is a member of 1% for the Planet. One percent of every dollar we earn in revenue, not profit, goes to verified environmental organizations doing real work.
We invest back into the land our pepper comes from: healthy soil, farming communities, and the forests and watersheds that make it all possible.
Fresh food depends on healthy land. We'd rather act on that than just say it.
